The delegation team from Bangladesh ensured their successful participation at "E-Commerce Expo 2023," a dynamic event that brought together over 11,000 eCommerce and marketing leaders at Excel London, on September 27–28.
Bangladesh Association of Contact Center & Outsourcing (BACCO), in collaboration with the Export Promotion Bureau and with the generous support of the Bangladesh High Commission in London, effectively highlighted the untapped potential of Bangladesh's Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry and showcased 16 renowned exporters from the IT-ITES and BPO sectors.
The "BPO Brilliance in Bangladesh: Paving the Way for Global Excellence" session organized jointly by BACCO and Export Promotion Bureau, provided valuable insights into the burgeoning BPO sector of Bangladesh during the expo. Esteemed speakers, including H.E. Ms. Saida Muna Tasneem, High Commissioner, Bangladesh High Commission, London; Mr. Ahmadul Hoq, Senior Advisor & Founder President, BACCO; Mr. Wahid Sharif, President, BACCO; Mr. Towhid Hossain, Secretary General, BACCO, and Mr. Kowser Ahmed, Director, BACCO, shared valuable perspectives on the immense opportunities within the BPO sector.
In the mentioned session, H.E. Ms. Saida Muna Tasneem opined, “Honorable Prime Minister announced Smart Bangladesh Vision 2041, the main objective of this plan is to make Bangladesh a developed high-income country through industrialization. Smart Bangladesh cannot be imagined without information and communications technology development.”
BACCO President Mr. Wahid Sharif said, “BACCO aims to create 100,000 Sustainable jobs in the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry and achieve $1 billion in export revenue by 2025. BACCO is working together with the government to achieve the target.”
This engaging session aimed to shed light on the untapped potential within Bangladesh's BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) industry and the abundant opportunities it presents to the nation and the global business community.
In addition to promoting the BPO sector, BACCO presented 16 eminent exporters from Bangladesh, showcasing their offerings and reinforcing market presence in the international arena. These companies represented diverse sectors and demonstrated Bangladesh's potential as a robust exporter.
BACCO Secretary General Towhid Hossain expressed his gratitude to the Export Promotion Bureau and Bangladesh High Commission, London for their sponsorship and all-out cooperation in the ECOMMERCE EXPO 2023.

The expo witnessed a substantial influx of visitors and businessmen from the UK and Europe at the Bangladeshi stall, displaying keen interest and raising numerous inquiries. This engagement significantly contributes to the delegation's overarching goals and aspirations. Moreover, the expo provided an avenue for the Bangladeshi business community and citizens residing in London to connect, learn, and contribute to the growth and recognition of Bangladesh on the global stage. Then the delegation from Bangladesh attended the dinner at the invitation of Bangladesh High Commission in London.
This event has strengthened bilateral relations and highlighted Bangladesh's potential as a major player in the global BPO landscape. Through participation in international events like this, the Bangladeshi delegates are determined to turn Bangladesh into the most sought-after BPO destination in the world.
