The cybersecurity conference ‘Phoenix Summit 2025’ was held with the participation of approximately five thousand cybersecurity professionals. The conference began on May 22nd at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh in the capital. This three-day event concluded yesterday, May 24th, with the presentation of awards to the champions.

The chief guest at the closing ceremony was Major General (Retd.) Md. Emdad-Ul-Bari, Chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC). He commented that more work should be done on cybersecurity through such technology-related conferences. He said, ‘Although technology has advanced, we have many shortcomings regarding the use of technology and security regulations. Therefore, more such technology-based fairs should be organized.’

ASM Shamim Reza, founder and head of research for Team Phoenix, inaugurated the conference on the morning of May 22nd. He announced plans to organize the conference on a larger scale next year. At the inaugural event, Shamim Reza stated, ‘Participants in the conference have been taught practical strategies along with hands-on experience and relevant knowledge. Important topics such as threat hunting, digital forensics, open-source intelligence, and cyber crisis management were discussed.’
